welcome home chance & liam!

so jeremy and i decided to expand our family... :) we thought that sophia and colby have such different personalities... that it would be nice to get a kitten to spice things up a bit. we thought maybe sophia would run around and play...taking some stress off of colby & helping her shed a few pounds she's gained recently ;-) so we had our eyes set on this beauty...



his name is Chance. he was born April 1, 2011 and is absolutely adorable. we talked with our vet and she said that she thought getting another kitten would be a good idea and gave the AARF organization and Winston-Salem an excellent recommendation for us. Out of 160 applications- we were told that we were the best fit and we went to pick up the little guy on Friday, June 17.

so Chance is now two and a half months old. jeremy and i threw around names for him over and over again... we decided on Geoffrey Harrison "Chance" Rahm. Geoffrey for his uncle Geoff who passed away a few years ago. Harrison for my favorite beatle, George Harrison and "Chance" because we just can't stop calling him that. So ...I guess we call him Chance or Chancey. He is precious! Here are more pictures of this doll...







so there is our Chancey! now...you may be wondering how we ended up with 4 cats. if you're on twitter- you know that we got a little playmate for chancey. we felt so bad for splitting him up from his brother, Tyler- that we asked about adopting tyler as well. unfortunately, tyler had already been adopted and it didn't look like they were bringing him back... SO...since we inquired about getting another cat anyway, the foster mom brought over another cat- who she said cuddled with Chance and Tyler all the time. she asked if we wanted to see him... we were apprehensive... but had been wondering how Chance would do by himself isolated in a kitten room all day, everyday. (until they can meet Sophia and Colby)...and when we saw him ...we fell in love. sooooo... meet Liam Christopher Rahm. Liam is named after my friend Leigh Lane who passed away in 2005. (I call him Li-Li for short) and Christopher is after my cousin Chris that passed away last Thursday. (expect another blog about this...). liam is adorable! he's a bit shyer than chance and took a little longer to trust us- but he is adorable. we're scared he may be a maine coon though...?! eeek! that will be unfortunate hahahah. anyway- here are pictures of mr. liam below...
