...paint whatever picture you like...: ROBOshow :)

so, friday night- ROBOBILLY (my fiance's band... that i've grown to love- very much over the past year or so)...had a show @ the Remedy Diner in Raleigh. it was surprisingly a lot of fun. i say surprisingly because... i'm not one for crowds of people- and unfamiliar places. i'm also not one for the cold. and this was the second show in a few weeks that i've attended... in 40 degree temperatures with $12 flats from target and NO socks! dennis offered me his... but i declined. i'd rather have swollen toes than socks from a 24 year old boy. :) but the offer was nice!

Robobilly was very entertaining- per usual. Paul makes me laugh hysterically... and I love hearing/seeing Jeremy play the trumpet! :) he's just so good at it. and he's been writing pretty amazing songs lately too! here is his personal myspace- he hasn't put recent songs up... but the ones he's been writing lately- are definitely pretty great.

anyway- the show was funny and fun! it probably helped that dennis danced insanely the entire time and acted out the lyrics of every song. and that he screamed AFLAC at a guy with a duck mask that was watching the show hahaha. it was also nice too...to realize that 10 years later... i'm still seeing some of the same people. for many, this would be a total nightmare- but ...i loved my high school friends. they were some of the best people i've ever met- and seeing them from time to time... makes me happy. especially thinking about allllll the things that all of us have been through... and how we all seem to be okay. that seems silly- but i think that when you're in high school... everything seems so serious... so intense. you don't know whats gonna happen and its scary... but there was something oddly comforting about hanging out with the same people... laughing... and just being ..simple. haha. NONE OF that came out the way it was in my head... words fail me at this moment.
